Great Difference

They say we can't all be friends;
That we can't all get along.
But if we try to make it so,
Is it really so wrong?
Why can't people be pleasant?
Can't we accept our differences as such?
We're not cut from the same cloth.
Is that really a cause to fuss?
We can't change who we are.
We can't change what we feel.
We can't change what we believe.
We can't change what's real.
But is that really cause to fight?
Is it cause to disagree?
Not everyone can think and feel
The same as you and me.
And it's not fair to ask that.
It's up to them to change.
If there is speak of altering views,
It's not our place to say.
Allow others to be different,
And they'll allow you to do the same.
Every one of us is different.
That's what makes us great.
