Beautiful Suffering
All I wanted was to love you.
I only wanted you to be mine.
But you wouldn't give me your love.
Is wanting more such a crime?
You always made up excuses.
You claimed it wasn't your fault.
Based on what little you've given me,
I can only believe you want things to stop.
I've tried to be patient with you.
I've tried not to give in.
But you still keep dragging me on.
You do it again and again.
You beg me not to leave you.
You say you want me to stay.
But all you've given me is heartache.
All I want is to turn away.
I wish that we could fix things;
Put an end to all of this.
But you refuse to see reason.
Think of all the good that we miss.
What we have, it's not normal.
It's not good for either of our health.
To you I'm nothing more than property.
You don't know all the pain that I've felt.
But unlike you, I know life is beautiful.
I know that this darkness will end.
I'll get away from this pain and this suffering.
Unlike you I'll find a happy end.
